How to get here in winter

The journey is part of your holiday!

Visiting us in winter? Great idea! An untouched winter wonderland, plus the imposing Dolomite peaks sparkling beneath the snow... Staying overnight here is an even better idea, since you can admire the spectacle at your leisure not only from the terrace but also from your room window and the wellness complex. Pralongià is located on the plateau of the same name between Corvara, La Villa and San Cassiano at the far end of the Badia Valley – and thus at the heart of the Alta Badia ski resort. You can travel here by ski, snowboard or on foot. This is how you get to Alta Badia.

Two skiers, a woman in a white jacket with a helmet in the front, and a man in completely black attire in the back, are skiing on a freshly groomed slope in the Dolomites.

First with the lift and then along the slope

With skis or snowboard

Our Mountain Inn can be reached from any village in Alta Badia that has a ski lift, such as Armentarola, San Cassiano, La Villa, Badia, Corvara or Colfosco. The mountain stations of the Pralongià II and Masarei chairlifts, as well as the Incisa ski lift, are closest to us.
Are less secure on skis or new to snowboarding? No problem! The way here only passes along blue slopes. We are a great rest stop on the Sellaronda and the Grande Guerra ski circuit.

Modernly furnished bedroom with a double bed, cuddly pillows, wooden floor, calm atmosphere, and a view of a snowy mountain landscape with a chapel.

Travel for overnight guests in winter

It is best to park your car directly at the Pralongià chairlift valley station in Planac/Corvara. Guests staying with us can leave their cars there in the paid area for free; we will provide you with a ticket. Drop off your luggage with the staff there. They will take care of it and ensure your belongings arrive safely at the top. Luggage can be transported until 11:00 am or from 3:00 pm. Important tip: please use luggage that can be securely closed and is easy to stow.

Then put on your skis or snowboard and use the two chairlifts, Pralongià and Pralongià II (the first ascent to the Mountain Inn is free of charge). The mountain lifts are open until 4:15 pm (from the end of January until 4:45 pm). Should the lifts already be closed when you arrive, the snowmobile can bring you to us (€50/trip).

On the day you leave, please have your luggage ready by 9:30 am so that we can take it to the mountain station in time. You can, of course, ski down to the valley station yourself and collect your belongings there. Practical, isn't it?

We are open in summer too!

When everything is blooming and the alpine meadows turn green, the panorama of the Dolomites will enchant you. That alone is a good reason to be open all summer long, because you can reach us both on foot and by bike, allowing you to create active days. An even better reason, however, is the good food and the fact that you can also stay overnight with us – far away from busy roads and hustle.
