How to reach us in summer

Arrival in already an emotion

The sky seems to get bigger with every step and the panorama over the valleys and mountain peaks gradually opens up before the eyes until offering a breath-taking view once you have reached the 2157 m a.s.l. of the Alpine Hut Pralongià. Arriving here is already an emotion. The view from here seems a lesson of geography: the ridges of the Conturines, a part of the Nature Park Fanes-Sennes-Prags; the mighty silhouette of Sassongher, one of the bastions of the Nature Park Puez-Geisler; the royal profile of Marmolada, the Queen of the Dolomites, crowned with snow even in mid-summer; and on the horizon – the sparkling glaciers of the Alps on the border with Austria.

On foot or by bike

Arrival to the Alpine Hut Pralongià from Corvara, La Villa, S. Cassiano and Valparola Pass

There are various ways to reach the Alpine Hut Pralongià in Alta Badia, both on foot and by mountain bike or e-bike. The summer mountain lifts of the plateau between Corvara, La Villa and San Cassiano (all of them are valid for the transportation of MTBs and strollers) facilitate the ascent but their use is not obligatory for reaching us. Here are some tips for arriving at Pralongià Alpine Hut from Corvara, La Villa, S. Cassiano and Valparola/Falzarego Pass.

For the guests of rooms and dorms

Arrival and departure with luggage

The guests of the rooms and dorms of the Alpine Hut Pralongià can park their car at the valley station of the chairlift Pralongià in the locality Planac/Corvara and then take the chairlift. From the top station of the chairlift Pralongià the guests are carried free of charge (from a stay of 2 days) to the Alpine Hut Pralongià with an appropriate off-road shuttle. Please inform us about your arrival in advance in order to minimize waiting times. As the shuttle has to move along dirt and gravel roads, we ask you to use closed and compact bags and suitcases. Transfers are carried out before 11 a.m. or after 3 p.m. The chairlift Pralongià operates till 5:30 p.m. After 5:30 p.m. it is possible to organize a transfer with an off-road shuttle from the parking area at the valley station of the chairlift Pralongià at the price of EUR 30.

For those who own an off-road vehicle and would like to drive to the Alpine Hut themselves, it is possible to request a transit permission (only for stays longer than 4 days).
On the departure day the descent is organized in the same way.
